Madness on the Nordschleife

Well, technically around the Nordschleife but still. Some pictures of the brilliant/mad things spotted as I have been wandering the Nordschliefe.

Guest house on the back of a trailer as you do. Along with a Christmas tree covered in caution tape.

one of the hundreds of self built viewing platforms that line the edge of the track.

Firewood, because huge fires are a prerequisite here, and a crane to display a flag.... obviously.

ah, that explains alot, much beer was consumed.

Better picture of the shelter and crane. Satellite TV is a must if you are here for the whole week, apparently. Ignore the small child attempting to climb into the barbecue.

Pretty much anyone who is anyone has their own group marquee for events, social gatherings, and playing loud loud music of varying quality until 4am. oh and drinking.

an ex Fire Truck makes a perfect camper/viewing platfrom.

Nice van-trailer conversion on this Belgium VW.

oh look. alcohol. and that thing wrapped in clingfilm. thats one of the two towers of speakers this particular camp has in place.

Parking is not always easy, guess thats why a 4x4 is handy for getting back out again.

Yet another home built structure. expect to see this torn down and burnt on Sunday morning.

yep, lots of beer been drunk there.

Mercedes bus, now a camper, and compensating for the complete absence of level ground. Probably best ignore the inflatable sex toy in the background....

Toyota were setting up a big stand behind these guys. No idea where they got their Toyota sign from..

feeling brave? then BMW will lift you atleast 20m up in the air to spectate from. NOPE!

I’ve always said fuel injected guesthouses are the way forwards. But some people are traditionalists. :D

I think I saw home made urinal next to the scaffolding structure in photos from last year. Genius!
